Living independently with a disability can seem like an intimidating possibility. But it doesn’t have to be! As one of our core services, Walton Options offers a variety of resources to assist consumers gain Independent Living Skills.
Learn how to live independently
We offer Life Skills Training in group and individual settings depending on the consumers’ needs and preferences. Classes include topics on rights and responsibilities as a person with a disability, personal financial planning, household management, personal health management, and how to access community support systems (e.g. transportation, housing, employment services). Highly qualified persons with disabilities offer support and encouragement in teaching people how to manage daily tasks to help them live independently.
